This picture and most of the other alligator pics were taken in the Okefenokee National Park, in Georgia. That is a place I recommend visiting, it's wild and beautiful! I was able to get within 5 feet of some alligators.

WOW!!! That close that is amazing!!! The closest I have ever gotten was 2 inches, but there was a 2 inch glass seperating us. lol Yeah I sertainly will, sounds like a great place to visit.

I don't recommend getting to close to big alligators, because they perceive someone as potential prey based on their size. If you're not a big person, they might see you as lunch!

I'm 6'2", so I'm not too worried...
